Professor Yakupitiyage Karunadasa is now back in Hong Kong teaching two course units under our Master of Arts program in Buddhist Studies in good health.

The two course units are Buddhist Doctrines of Pali Nikāyas: Analysis and Interpretation; and Theravāda Abhidhamma: Origins and Development.

Venerable Professor KL Dhammajoti was awarded in January 2015 the third Khyentse Foundation Fellowship in recognition of his tireless contributions to the propagation of the Buddhadharma.

I met Venerable Professor Kotapitiye Rahula Thera at the comfortable Buddha-Dharma Centre of Hong Kong, in Wan Chai. He fills many posts, including that of director of the Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies at the University of Kelaniya, one of Sri Lanka’s most renowned institutions for Buddhist scholarship. For more than a decade, the Centre of Buddhist Studies (CBS) at The University of Hong Kong was the sole provider of a Masters degree in Buddhist Studies in the city.
